hey dears!
I'm so happy today because tomorrow and sunday is my off day. FINALLY! let me update u wif my work here. this week i was attached to an auntie at the housekeeping department. She's my mentor whose teaching me all the housekeeping work like making beds, washing bathrooms and cleaning up the rooms. We will need to complete 15 rooms per day. Though it may sounds easy but in actual its X100 times harder than wad u thought. The bed frames are heavy, changing the bedsheets are tough, wiping the floor is tiring, even vaccuming the carpets will drain up my energy too. SADS. but still life goes on. i'll still need to wake up everyday at 6am to wash up and prepare, have breakfast and report for work at 7.50pm. Anyway, my apetite have increase tremendously ever since i started working and the menial work had trained and toned up my arm muscles -_-
A piece of good news for me, next week I won't need to make beds, change bedsheets. Those that are training as a staff this week will rotate and train as a supervisor instead. Though I heard from my friends that its tiring as we need to follow our mentor to check >60 rooms per day, at least its better than washing the toliets, changing bedsheets. haha, and to reward myself for working so hard for the past few days, tomorrow I'm going on a MAJOR shopping spree wif my friends! lalala. I'm going to spend ALOT!
Gloria Hotel have been treating us, the singapore interns good. For example, they're giving out their brand mooncakes (4pieces wif different flavours) and we're included! I've tried mine and its nice. I like it. Next we are the only room in the whole hostel to have iron! And some bathrooms have curtains now! Also the staff canteen food is improving, we had Singapore delights such as Hainanese chicken rice the other day! Not too bad ah.
Last of all, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO WENNA! I'm sure u have enjoyed yourself on the 19th, your special day and my wish for you is to.... GROW UP! opps, I mean mentally. hehe. hope ur doing fine too. take care k.
